Original abstract
Control of a robotic system can be realized through the use of myopotentials that occur during muscle contraction. The waveform and amplitude of these signals are altered by various motions, force and velocity of contraction, and distance from the contracted muscle to an EMG sensor. A number of motion can be discriminated by fewer EMG signals. For myoelectric control of the robotic system the EMG signal must be precisely processed and analyzed. This article deals with classification of acquired EMG signals using artificial intelligence methods.
