Original abstract

Numerical simulation of cavitation flow inside a control valve was successfully performed by Institute of Aerospace Engineering, Brno University of Technology in the course of 7FP European Commission funded project SPARTAN (SPAce exploration Research for Throttleable Advanced eNgine). Objective of the project is to develop crucial technology for extra-terrestrial planet exploration. The project is coordinated by Thales Alenia Space Italia S.p.A. and incorporates both commercial and academic partners from seven European countries.

V rámci 7. rámcového programu Evropské komise v projektu SPARTAN (SPAce exploration Research for Throttleable Advanced eNgine) byla na leteckém ústavu VUT v Brně úspěšne provedena numerická simulace kavitujícího proudění uvnitř kontrolního ventilu by. Cílem projektu je vyvynout klíčovou technologii pro průzkum planet sluneční soustavy. Projekt je koordinován firmou Thales Alenia Space Italia S.p.A. a zahrnuje jak komerční tak akademiscké partnery ze sedmi evropských zemí.
