Original abstract
Elastohydrodynamic and mixed lubrication is typical for highly loaded machine parts in contact. The paper is focused on the simulation of parameters in point contact of machine surfaces with asperities. Contact pressure distribution and lubricant film thickness are investigated parameters. The aim of the presented research is to describe the influence of asperities on distribution of film thickness and contact pressure using numerical methods and experimental measurements. The article also describes how to solve some difficulties occurring by contact pressure calculation from lubricant film thickness. The calculation of pressure from lubricant film thickness using inverse elasticity theory is very time-consuming and sensitive to purity of input data. In order to accelerate the calculation, the convolution algorithm is used. The comparison of results shoes that the results are consistent with results obtained using multilevel method.
