Zařízení slouží ke stanovení teplotních přechodových odporů při kontaktu dvou povrchů. Podstatou metodiky je nestacionární teplotní měření po velmi rychlém kontaktu dvou těles o různé počáteční teplotě. Tělesa jsou vybavena teplotními čidly a na základě naměřených teplotních průběhů je inverzní metodou vedení tepla stanoven teplotní přechodový odpor. Tělesa jsou uvedena do kontaktu předepjatou pružinou. Lze měnit počáteční podmínky experimentu – teploty těles a měrný tlak v kontaktu.

Equipment is used for measuring of a contact thermal resistance between two surfaces. The principal of this investigation is an unsteady temperature measurement of two bodies with different initial temperatures which are contacted very quickly. A thermal resistance is determined by an inverse heat transfer task obtained from the temperature record of the thermocouples which are embedded in the bodies. The bodies contact each other by a spring. Initial conditions, such as temperature of the bodies and specific pressure can be changed.
