Original abstract

The main aim of the present work was to study surface topography of cyclically strained polycrystalline cast superalloy Inconel 738LC with the combination of advanced microscopy techniques. Extrusion and intrusion morphology and kinetics within persistent slip markings were studied using confocal scanning laser microscopy, high resolution scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Material was cyclically strained in strain control at room temperature. The cycling was periodically interrupted and the specimen surface was observed. The persistent slip marking topography with the shape and size of extrusions and intrusions and their evolution during cycling is documented.

Czech abstract

Cílem této práce bylo studium povrchového reliéfu cyklicky namáhané lité polykrystalické superslitiny Inconel 738LC s využitím moderních mikroskopických technik. Povrchový reliéf tvořený extruzemi a intruzemi a kinetika jejich vývoje v rámci perzistentních skluzových pásů byly studovány pomocí laserového konfokálního skenovacího mikroskopu s vysokým rozlišením, elektronové mikroskopie a mikroskopie atomárních sil. Materiál byl cyklicky namáhán v režimu řízení celkové deformace při pokojové teplotě. Topografie perzistentního skluzového pásu s tvarem a velikostí extruzí a intruzí a jejich vývoj v průběhu cyklování je dokumentován.
