Original abstract
This article is concerned with capabilities of bifurcation and chaos analysis methods used for analysis of the automotive differential operation and noise. The purpose of the article is to give an overview of practical use of the above mentioned methods. The potential advantages, disadvantages are discussed as well as expected contributions of application of the bifurcation analysis to solving the automotive differential journal bearing noise problem.

Článek se zabývá možnostmi analýzy chování a hlučnosti kluzného uložení automobilového diferenciálu pomocí postupů z oblasti teorie bifurkací a chaosu v technických soustavách. Cílem článku je podat přehled o využitelnosti zmíněných metod v praktické aplikaci a možných přínosů analýzy k řešení problémů se zvýšenou hlučností kluzného uložení diferenciálu. Závěrem jsou shrnuty výhody, nevýhody a očekávané přínosy bifurkační analýzy při řešení konkrétního problému.
