Original abstract

The development of a new water turbine was aimed at covering small heads and large discharges. Only two runner blades are used. The distributor is absent. Champing of runner speed enables governing Computation of the blade shape was carried out using CFD code Fluent, several designs were computationally tested. An experimental method (LDA measurement was used to find the real velocity field agreement of computed and measured velocity fields was very close).

Czech abstract

Vývoj nové turbíny byl zaměřen na pokrytí malých spádů a velkých průtoků. Bylo použito oběžné kolo pouze se dvěma lopatkami. Výpočet tvaru lopatek byl získán využitím programu CFD Fluent a byl testován větší počet variant. K experimentálnímu ověření navržených oběžných kol byla použita LDA metoda, která přímo zobrazila rychlostní pole, které bylo velmi blízké předchozí počítačové simulaci.
