Original abstract

Vorticity confinement, developed for the study of helicopter-rotor flow field, was tested for prediction of a turbulent flow-field around the bluff body. The parametric study was performed for the two parameters of the method concerning the mesh and time step dependency. The results show quite good agreement with experiments could be obtained for velocity profiles and to some extend to drag coefficient.

Metoda Vorticity confinement byla použita pro výpočet obtékání tělesa zjednodušeného vozu (Ahmed body). Byla testována citlivost nastavení konstant na výsledné proudové pole a vypočtené síly na těleso.
