Original abstract

During calculations of the potential (within) process capability indices (process capability indices) and the overall process capability indices (process performance indices) we encounter problem with the variable standard deviations and the variable means. Besides stochastic randomness, which can be described by probability theory, uncertainty given by historical experience of an expert appears as well. For instance the within standard deviation ranges from 0.5 to 1 or the mean ranges from b to c, but it does not take on values a and d . Substitution of the within subgroup process standard deviation within, which can vary in different moments of observed process, for the single value is another problem, which is not solved during assessing capability the classical way. In the paper, these and other problems are eliminated by way of fuzzyfication of process capability indices. Thus established fuzzy capability indices and their application will be illustrated by examples.

Czech abstract

Způsobilosti a výkonnosti procesů narážíme na problém, že směrodatné odchylky a střední hodnoty procesu nejsou konstantní a kromě stochastické náhodnosti, která lze popsat pomocí teorie pravděpodobnosti, se zde objevuje i neurčitost vnášená historickými zkušenostmi experta. Toto odstraníme v našem příspěvku pomocí fuzzifikace indexů způsobilosti. Použití takto zavedených fuzzy indexů způsobilosti ilustrujeme na příkladech.
