Original abstract
Growing requirements for a cutting tool, precision and productivity a better understanding of machining processes becomes very important. Cutting forces provide valuable information about chips formation process, cooling performance, energy consumption, etc. The impact of coatings and cooling fluid on quality and precision of precise grooves was evaluated. Some new conceptions where applied to the experimental grooving cycle and verified at CNC centre experimentally.

Rostoucí požadavky na vysoce přesné obrábění otevírají nové možnosti na kvalitu materiálu řezného nástroje. Hlavním faktorem ovlivňující další zvýšení životnosti je aplikace povlaku s odolností proti opotřebení a vysokou tvrdostí. Řezná síla vyvinutá během soustružení poskytla cennou informaci o procesu – tvoření třísky, chlazení nástroje, energetické náročnosti atd. Vliv povlaků a procesní kapaliny na kvalitu a přesnost vyrobené drážky byl hodnocen. Některé nové myšlenky byly implantovány pro zapichovací cyklus a ověřeny na CNC stroje.
