Original abstract
The split Hopkinson pressure bar test (SHPBT) system is used to investigate the effects of temperature and strain-rate on the dynamic behaviour of material under testing. Effects of temperature for titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V were investigated using an adapted SHPBT system. In this work, high temperatures of up to 500 grad were obtained in the specimens by using an induction heater. To determine the stress-strain curves, specimens were tested between the room temperature and 500 grad at intervals of 100 grad. The influence of strain rate, strain and temperature on the final microstructure was investigated. Conditions necessary for performing correctly the SHPBT are also presented in this paper.

Hopkinsonův kompresní test se využívá ke zjišťovaní dynamických mechanických vlastností materiálů, s vlivem teploty a rychlosti deformace. Zařízení pro Hopkinsonův test je upraveno tak, aby bylo možno testovat vliv teploty na vzorky z titanové slitiny Ti-6Al-4V a to až do teploty 500 stupňů Celsia s použitím indukčního ohřevu. V intervalu teplot od pokojové teploty do 500 stupňů Celsia byly pro jednotlivé vzorky získány závislosti napětí – deformace. V tomto článku je popsán vliv rychlosti deformace, napětí a teploty na výslednou mikrostrukturu uvedené titanové slitiny. Taktéž jsou prezentovány i nutné podmínky pro správné provedení Hopkinsonova kompresního testu.
