A process is not absolute entity. It is a functional structure of any activity. Process characters are relative, dynamic and integral to environment. A procedure is a predetermined way of activity transformation from state to another. Procedures, especially formalized(written) one are the only means for archieving process objectives. The technology is a process chain model, which expresses the characters, tools, elements and functional events during object transformation process. At operation initial stage, the technology is integrated into the process cell environmental input/output. The system environment is not only its defined area, but also the area of the process. Those are corner stones of the Theory of Processes, which is the subject of this study.

Proces není absolutní objekt. Jedná se o funkční strukturu jednotlivých aktivit, jejichž charakteristiky jsou relativní, dynamické a spojené s environmentem. Procedura je pak determinovaný způsob změny objektu z jednoho stavu do druhého. Pouze přesně definované procedury mohou správně popsat procesy. Technologie je pak procesním řetězovým modelem, který zahrnuje proměnné, nástroje, prvky a funkční události objektů v průběhu transformačního procesu. V prvotní fázi je každá operace technologie svými vstupy a výstupy začleněna do procesní buňky. Systémový environment pak není jen obecná oblast, ale je propojena s oblastí procesu. To jsou základní kameny teorie procesů, která je předmětem této studie.
