Original abstract

In general it is possible to say, that testing is based on control and verification of design of product (in case of electric motor according to norm for rotary electrical machine CSN EN 60034-1) and that the product is made according to specified documentation and according requirements. Testing uncovers whether good quality components were used and whether the motor was mounted in production compliance specified in working instruction – all specified engine data have to be in defined tolerations, which is a fundamental condition for error free function, long lifetime and also limits failure rate. Possible root cause of motor failures is closely related with used components, therefore we will show some examples of possible defects and description of testing procedure, which needs to eliminate sending not good quality motor to the end customer.
