V průběhu řešení projektu byly provedeny testy vad odlitků kol pro zjištění jejich původu. Bylo navrženo experimentálně ověřit výrobu odlitku z modifikované taveniny. Modifikace taveniny byla povedena v provozních podmínkách a byla tako vyrobena sada kol, které byly dále zkoumány jak pevnostně, tak metalograficky. Testy prokázaly pozitivní dopad na strukturu odlitku.

In the course of the project, defect tests of wheel castings were carried out to determine their origin. It was proposed to experimentally verify the production of a casting from a modified melt. The modification of the melt was carried out under operational conditions and a set of wheels was thus produced, which were further examined both for strength and metallography. The tests showed a positive impact on the structure of the casting.
