Original abstract
Mechanism of the origin of a transversal crack in a steel slab by mean of an application of the theory of physical similarity and dimensionless criteria. Simultaneously, the concentration of elements at the surface of the crack was measured after the crack was opened.

Mechanismus vzniku příčné trhliny v ocelové bramě je řešen aplikací teorie fyzikální podobnosti a bezrozměrných kriterií. Současně je měřena koncentrace prvků na povrchu trhliny po jejím otevření.
English abstract
Mechanism of the origin of a transversal crack in a steel slab by mean of an application of the theory of physical similarity and dimensionless criteria. Simultaneously, the concentration of elements at the surface of the crack was measured after the crack was opened.
