Original abstract

The number of fibres with perpendicular or parallel orientation does not depend on the flow or particle Reynolds number in the measured ranges of flowrates. The analysis of the recorded orientations confirmed that the parallel orientation of the fibers prevails, however not as strongly as expected. The bifurcation triggered flips to the perpendicular orientation. Rotations back to perpendicular orientations were observed.
