Original abstract

The present work is focused on creating a novel semi-empirical modelling approach, which may also be regarded as an attempt to provide an alternative NOx postprocessor for CFD burner simulations. The model is based on calculation of an equivalent effective temperature and has already been validated successfully. Now it was further developed to use information available from CFD modelling and the goal of this approach was to find out whether such information could improve the predictive accuracy of the semi-empirical model. Commercial software FLUENT was used for the comprehensive CFD flame modelling.
