Original abstract

This paper is concerned with the design of motorcycle single side swingarm made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). The structure of swingarm is bonded from two halves made of prepreg in separate molds. This joint and anisotropic properties of the material effect the overall mechanical characteristics. To verify the design, an analysis of stiffness is made as it has non negligible influence on the overall dynamics of the motorcycle.
