Original abstract

This report contains proposal of SHM sensor system placement optimization methodology based on actuating UGW by PZT actuators. Waves propagation and damage detection will be obtained by FEM simulations and used for optimization as inputs. Two proposed methods are described in this report. The Genetic Algorithm based on PixelCount method as Method 1. Method 1 is compared with Differential evolution method SOMA (Self-Organising Migrating Algorithm). The second proposed method is based on positioning sensors to the basic shapes. Furthermore, this report provides basic information about reliability of PZT actuators based on manufacturer (PICMA, NOLIAC) data.
