Original abstract

The basic idea behind the creation of this article, was to extend the capabilities of airports for VFR night traffic by modern lighting system. Existing systems at small airports are usually outdated and do not fulfill their purpose sufficiently. Available existing modern systems have characteristics different from our defined parameters. These facts were confirmed by the analysis carried out.
