Original abstract

The study deals with CFD and experimental investigation of hydrodynamic characteristics of gas ditribution and liquid sheet inside a sprinkler head of the wet scrubber. This environmental cleaning device is based on absorption processes and is useful for pulleted gas emissions purification. In order to understand the behavior of fluid flow and in order to design and evaluate absorption devices the study of liquid atomization, droplet size, droplet velocity, spray pattern and fluid distribution is essential. The experiments for liquid phase were carried out in a transparent enlarged model of the sprinkle head and for gas phase were carried out withn computationla fluid dynamics using Ansys software (CFX solver).
