Original abstract
The study focuses on the design of interior flower pots, which, thanks to a simple idea and suitable selection of materials, can present the contemporary possibilities. Thanks to the database of materials, a school project was developed during which students and their teachers designed interior flower pots that included a description of selected materials and other added features. Designs that met the requirements of the assignment the best were selected for presentation in this article. The individual types of interior pots are presented along with description of their parameters and functionality. On a simple task – designing the flower pot for the interior, it is shown how we can think about ecodesign today. This means carefully considering the environmentally friendly product life cycle and added value in the form of functional design at the same time. Selected materials meet the ecological, production and aesthetic aspect. Products that take account of ecodesign and the economic life cycle have a positive impact on both the environment and the total volume of recycled material that would otherwise end up in the landfill without further utilization or would be burned in incinerators.
