Original abstract
The knowledge of the stress-strain behaviour of elastomers in basic modes is necessary for credible numerical modelling of their mechanical response. One of the stress-strain characteristics needed is the so-called equibiaxial characteristic. Usually the experimental determination of such characteristic is not easy because of the high requirements on the experimental equipment. This paper deals with an unpretentious experimental technique for measuring of equibiaxial stress-strain dependence of elastomers. The method is numerically simulated using FEM, compared to standard methods and its accuracy and practical usefulness is analyzed. The technique could also be used for equibiaxial strength measuring.
