Original abstract
The article describes an experimental investigation of start-up of smooth friction-al surfaces under the conditions of mixed and elastohydrodynamic lubrication. The evaluation of the experiment was made by chromatic interferometry. This method is used to measure thin lubrication films. Experiment for different values of acceleration confirms the findings of previously studies.
