Original abstract
We used previously proposed phase-correlation algorithm [Novak et al., 2014]. The automated algorithm was modified to trace all three component of light spectrum, especially blue colour having periodicity of 180° under the specific orientation of PLM equipment. Results confirm capability of the proposed algorithm to correctly estimate the local orientations of birefringent structures in whole 180° range without necessity of incorporation of quarter wave plate.

Využili jsme dříve navrhnutý algoritmus fázové korelace. Automatický algoritmus byl modifikován ke sledování všech tří složek světelného spektra, speciálně modré barvy mající periodu 180° při specifickém nastavení polarizačního mikroskopu. Výsledky potvrzují schopnost navrhnutého algoritmu korektně vyhodnocovat lokální orientace dvojlomných struktur v celém rozsahu 180° bez nezbytnosti zahrnutí 1/4 vlnové destičky.
