Original abstract

The objective of the present work is to optimize selected process parameters of Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM). Effectivness of the wire-cut process can be judged for example by cutting speed. Technological parameters of the machine, material and used wire affect number of wire breakdowns and resulting cutting speed. Difficulties have been encountered in the definition of the technological parameters that drive the process. Material removal mechanis uses process of electro-erosion and adjustable parameters of electrical discharge has been goal of optimization.
