We summarize and develop some recent results achieved in the field of discrete fractional calculus, with a special attention devoted to linear fractional difference equations and essentials of their qualitative (especially stability) theory.

Kapitola shrnuje a rozvíjí nedávné výsledky dosažené v oblasti diskrétního zlomkového kalkulu, se zaměřením na lineární zlomkové diferenční rovnice a základy jejich kvalitativní teorie (zejména teorie stability).
