Original abstract

The present work is focused on numerical modelling of grate combustion of solid fuels by means of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methods. A one-dimensional transient numerical model of combustion in an experimental reactor is implemented into a computer program. A method for control of mass and energy balance over the system is developed and applied to a series of simulations of heat-up and pyrolysis of wheat straw in order to evaluate the effect of convergence criteria on total mass and energy imbalance.

Czech abstract

Tato práce byla zaměřena na numerické modelování spalování tuhých paliv na roštu s využitím výpočtové dynamiky tekutin. Jednorozměrný transientní model roštového spalování byl implementován do počítačového programu. Byla vyvinuta metoda pro detailní kontrolu hmotnostní a energiové bilance modelovaného systému, která byla aplikována na řadu simulací ohřevu a apyrolýzy pšeničné slámy, která umožnila analyzovat efekt konvergenčního kritéria na celkovou hmotnostní a energiovou bilanci.

English abstract
