Original abstract

This work demonstrate the possibility of the application of oxygen enhanced combustion (OEC) in the industry. During the experiments were used two different methods of the oxygen application, namely premixed air – where oxygen is injected into the oxidizer stream and air/oxy-fuel, where oxygen was injected into the flame. During the experiment were observed combustion parameters such as heat flux, flue gas temperature, NOx emissions and flame structure. It was evaluated that OEC has a potential to be used in the industry, especially in the application where is necessary to reduce NOx emissions and to increase heat flux in the combustion chamber, but it was also revealed, that wrong application of oxygen can have opposite effect.

Czech abstract

Cílem práce bylo ověřit, zda by bylo možné aplikovat kyslíkem obohacené spalování (OEC) v průmyslu. Kyslík byl přidáván dvěma způsoby, byl přimícháván do spalovacího vzduchu a také vstřikován přímo do plamene. Zkoušky byly zaměřeny na tepelné toky, teplotu spalin, emise NOx a také na vlastnosti plamene. Bylo zjištěno, že OEC má potenciál pro využití v průmyslu, zvláště v případech, kdy je nutné snižovat emise NOx anebo zvýšit tepelný tok uvnitř komory. Nicméně bylo také zjištěno, že nesprávná aplikace může mít opačný efekt.

English abstract
