Original abstract
The wavelet transform is a method for signals analysing. The main advantage of applying the wavelet transform to the detection of edges in an image is the possibility of choosing the size of the details that will be detected.. For edge detection in an image, a computer application has been created that tests the two-dimrnsional scene. The paper describes the experience of the wavelet transform to edge detection in images. The algorithm of searching for the boundary is also shown. The experience of the wavelet transform for the described problem are distinct.

Waveletová transformace patří do metod pro signálovou analýzu. Hlavní výhoda pro aplikaci waveletové analýzy při detekci hran v obraze spočívá v možnosti výběru velikosti detailu, který má být detekován. Pro detekci hran v obraze byla vytvořena počítačová aplikace, kde byla testována dvourozměrná scéna. Příspěvek popisuje zkušenosti s použitím waveletové transformace při detekci hran v obraze.
