Original abstract

The development of a new water turbine was aimed at covering small heads and large discharges.Only two runner blades are used.The distributor is absent.Changing of runner speed enables governing.Computation of the blade shape was carried out using CFD code Fluent,several designs were computationaly tested.An experimental method (LDA measurement) was used to find the real velocity field,agreement of computed and measurement velocity fields was very close. The efficiency curve of this turbine is rather flat and cavitation properties are excellent.Turbine is characterized by low manufacturing costs.

Vývoj nového typu vodní turbiny byl zaměřen na zpracování malých spádů a velkých průtoků. Výpočty tvaru lopatek byly provedeny programem CFD Fluent, některé návrhy byly prověřeny výpočtem. Experiment byl proveden měřením LDA. Bylo nalezeno pole rychlostí před a za oběžným kolem. Křivka účinnosti je plochá a kavitační vlastnosti jsou vynikající. Turbina se vyznačuje malou výrobní cenou.
