The Werner von Siemens Award for 2020 announced on March 2, 2020, in Prague, was won by Mrs. Katrin Bučková. A successful graduate of the Double Degree in Industrial Engineering choose for a diploma thesis a topic: "Advanced production technology for joint implants made by the EBM method". In the total number of 263 diploma theses, Katrin won 2nd place.

At the same time, this award was also given to Katrin´s supervisor prof. Miroslav Píška from the Institute of Manufacturing Technology, FME BUT, who won this prestigious award for the second time.
