National Centre of Competence of Mechatronics and Smart Technologies for Engineering (NCC MESTEC)

The National Centre of Competence of Mechatronics and Smart Technologies for Engineering was established in order to concentrate the capacities of individual workplaces of research organizations and technology-oriented companies on execution of a joint research agenda.

The focus of the centre combines multidisciplinary research specializations (design, mechanics, electrical engineering, chemistry, biology, sensors, materials engineering, virtual design, etc.), which are aimed at three interconnected technological areas, the application of which is primarily focused on machinery engineering production for the 21st century. The centre consists of six research organisations and nineteen companies.

In the period 2019 – 2020, the project TN01000071 the National Competence Centre of Mechatronics and Smart Technologies for Engineering is co-financed with the state support of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic under the National Competence Centres Programme.
