Safety in machinery and industrial processes is a key aspect of their design, manufacture, installation and operation. Ensuring safety and auditing it on an ongoing basis is also a key aspect of implementing digitalisation in industrial processes. As the number of interconnected devices and systems increases, so does the potential risk of cyber-attacks, dangerous faults and related security issues.
The membership of the research group is multidisciplinary and includes experts from all relevant departments of the Institute of Manufacturing Machines, Systems and Robotics.
