Course detail

Computational Simulations for Heat and Power Production

FSI-LSE Acad. year: 2025/2026 Summer semester

The content of the course is to introduce students to the basic principles of mathematical modeling and simulation (CFD and FEM) by overviewing the underlaying principles and working with specialized software. Attention is focused on heat transfer and fluid flow.

There will also be a presentation of a software for energy balances in the energy sector as part of the course

Aims

The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of the principles of mathematical modeling and simulations in the energy sector and to familiarize them practically with currently available software for energy practice.

After completing the course, students will be able to do basic work in these softwares and  further develop their skill in their usage if interested.
