Course detail

CAD - Advanced

FSI-3CC Acad. year: 2025/2026 Winter semester

The course is designed for advanced CAD users who already know how to work in Autodesk Inventor. The course introduces students to advanced design features and capabilities in CAD. The primary method of teaching in this course is blended learning, where students are provided with extensive self-study materials and primarily work independently on assigned projects during class time with assistance from the instructor. The projects are completed using Autodesk Vault professional project documentation management, thus the course also builds teamwork skills. The course provides both theoretical CAD knowledge and recommended workflows and advanced skills necessary to create and modify complex assembly designs using Autodesk Inventor. Graduates of the course will be able to use appropriate techniques and recommended workflows for advanced model parameterization, motion simulation, and be able to present CAD output at a professional level.
