Diploma Project (M-KSB) I

FSI-XD4 Acad. year: 2025/2026 Winter semester

The course focuses on guiding students in their research activities, studying the literature for their thesis and applying the principles of professional writing. Emphasis is placed on independent student work. Project topics from industry practice are welcome.

Knowledge from previous studies is assumed.

Conditions for the granting of credit:
1. Regular consultation with the supervisor (at least once a month).
2. Submission of the diploma thesis in progress according to the deadlines specified in the e-learning.

Aims

The aim of the course is to learn the basic rules of the first part of the diploma research project, i.e:
1. Clarifying the desired objective of the solution,
2. Analysing the current state of science and technology,
3. Systematic analysis of the analysis and, on this basis, determination of the procedure for further work on the solution of the problem.

Syllabus

There are no regular lessons – the course is designed for independent work of students at home or in laboratories of FME, under the guidance of a supervisor.
