Digitalization in Industry

Industry 4.0 is the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things and cloud computing. Industry 4.0 creates what has been called a "smart factory".

A. Evolution of industry and the concept of Industry 4.0, Cyber-physical systems and advancet information technologies
B. Reference model RAMI 4.0
C. The Internet of things (IoT), Recent advances in ICT and Industry 4.0 – digital twin
D. Industrial and cooperative autonomous robots, safety, additive manufacturing, artificial inteligence, cyber security, monitoring and diagnostics
E. Invited lecture by expert from Industry 4.0

Syllabus
The aim of the labs is to introduce students to practical part of the course above all using selected PLC and IoT technologies.
