Machines for Production of Building Materials

FSI-NSM Acad. year: 2025/2026 Winter semester

The course is based on the technological processes in civil engineering. It includes a set of machines and systems – projection, structure, function, principal analyses. Also dealt with are storage silos, pneumatic transport, concrete mixers and pumps, calibrating and compacting machines, pre-stressing, feeders, dosers, handling equipments, crushers and mills including the disintegration theory, screens, cyclone separators, water jet and excavation disk cutting. Typical producers, ways of technical parameters reaching are discussed.

Aims

The objective is for students to have an overview of machines and equipment in technological processes in civil engineering. Students will be provided with a basis for selection of machines and for designing of technological sequences, for projects of industrial plants. The course enables students to understand the function, construction, and fundamental calculations of machines in the technological processes in civil engineering, and makes them familiar with producers and design for technological complexes.
