Aims

The subject of the Seminar to Bachelor thesis is to pay attention to the analysis of the assignment, the theoretical basis and the elaboration of the documentation related to the subject of the bachelor thesis. The aim is to develop analytical and synthetic abilities by evaluating the design of existing competitive products in visual and technical aspects.

The student acquires:
The ability of analysis of design assignment.
The ability of scientific classification and elaboration of accompanying documentation of design project.
The ability to prepare an analysis and design evaluation, including graphic processing and typographic modification.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Syllabus

– Getting to know the BP guidelines and deadlines.
- Design analysis.
- Technical analysis.
- Problem analysis and Aims of solution.
- Variants of design.
- Shape solution.
- Technical and ergonomic solution.
- Color and graphical solution.
- Discussion.
- Final text correction of the analytical part, BP presentation.
- Graphics of BP poster.
- Portfolio.
- Submission – final printed version of BP, portfolio (A4 format).

Exercise

13 hours, compulsory

Syllabus

– Process of state exam, principles of diploma thesis presentation, principles for preparing bachelor thesis.
- Collecting and researching materials for design analysis of the given topic.
- Collection and researching documents for technical analysis of the given topic.
- Presentation of partial results of bachelor thesis by individual students. Discussion on presentation and results, answers to questions of the supervisor and other teachers.
- Submission – final printed version of BP, portfolio (A4 format).
