Academic Sources and Citations
FSI-0ZC Acad. year: 2024/2025 Winter semester
The course is focused on FME students who are studying the third or higher degree and it provides information about searching relevant sources for writing the thesis. The course is particularly focused on the citation of used sources, the ethics of information and ratings of sources.
Students are going to learn how to distinguish quality sources of information based on basic criteria. They are going to be able to cite different types of documents and use numerical reference citation method. Students will get acquainted with copyright/author’s right, Creative Commons licence and citation managers. They will learn how to write annotation and key words of their thesis and how to structure the text. The last chapter of the course is devoted to presentation skills.
The course is held in a distance form, through e-learning in Moddle. Students can attend counsulting hours.
