Internship

FSI-0PPZ Acad. year: 2021/2022 Summer semester

The course is aimed at getting practical skills and experience by solution of a specific task assigned by industrial company. The task is specified by an industrial company in agreement with appropriate institute or department. The student deals with the problem on his own and the progress is discussed and monitored by a responsible company employee.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn how to apply theoretical knowledge on concrete practical problems. They will complete their knowledge by getting practical skills within studied branch or specialization. They become familiar with the company functioning, they will learn communication skills, presentation, teamwork and self-presentation. In many cases, students will also improve the technical language competences.

Prerequisites

Theoretical knowledge acquired during bachelor studies related to the project.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Individual work on project in industrial environment.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Graded course-unit credit is based on the results of a project report submission and defence. Results in the form of a report must be approved by both the manager of an industrial enterprise and the coordinator.

Aims

The objective of the course is to prepare a student to deal with specific practical problems and to learn him how to present and defend his results. Emphasis is placed on the application of knowledge from bachelor's degree in manufacturing practice.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Project oriented practice is carried out according to the practice of industrial enterprise and in agreement with an authorized employee of the Institute (coordinator of cooperation with enterprises).
