Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will have an overview of the situation and development in the field of the design of accessories for vehicle combustion engines and vehicles. The acquired knowledge is necessary for an objective consideration of the design of accessories for vehicle piston combustion engines and vehicles. The course provides students also with knowledge of new electronic systems of vehicles, as well as with information about new trends new electronic.
Prerequisites
Bases of internal combustion engines and chassis of motor vehicles. Transmissions for motor vehicles.
Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Teaching is suplemented by practical laboratory work.
Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes
Course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the seminars. Exam has a written and an oral part.
Language of instruction
Czech
Aims
The aim of the course is for students to get acquainted with basic principles of design of accessories for vehicle combustion engines, particular components, groups and aggregates. Students should realize the connection between the requirements for the design of components of a vehicle engine and the vehicle in relation to restriction of negative effects of piston combustion engines to environment. Students will have an overview of new electronic systems of vehicles and information about new trends.
Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
Attendance at seminars is compulsory and systematically checked by the teacher. Absence may be in justified cases compensated for by the agreement with the course supervisor.
