Project Management

FSI-GPN Acad. year: 2021/2022 Winter semester

The course "Introduction to Project Management" is built up on the basic knowledge of enterprise management economics. Through examples from industry, the students become acquainted with the latest methods of project management.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

After completing the course, the students are able to systematically apply the methods of project management in order to accomplish the projects in due time with the planned outputs and costs.

Prerequisites

The students are expected to be acquainted with the basics of economics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through lectures explaining the basic principles and theory of the discipline. Exercises are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.
According to the possibility of teaching can be organized lectures for students by practitioners and excursions to companies focused on activities related to the course content.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Course-unit credit is conditioned by 100% attendance at laboratory practicals and approved reports. Examination has a written and an oral part and tests student's knowledge and his/her ability to apply it in practice.

The objective of the course is to convey the experiences with the latest practice in management of complex projects.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Seminars are compulsory, attendance is monitored. Absence can be compensated on agreement with the teacher.
