Diploma Seminar (M-STL)

FSI-ODS-A Acad. year: 2021/2022 Summer semester

Within the frame of the seminar students have to solve individually theoretical and structure parts of the aeroplane design or its part according to the specification of their diploma project. They are supposed to prepare theses of their diploma project, links to building specification and standards.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Theoretical knowledge and instructions for processing technical reports and publications.

Prerequisites

Basic construction knowledge and the knowledge of aircraft structures strength analyses.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course is taught through exercises which are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Course-unit credit requirements: participation in the course (80% at the minimum), presentation of the diploma project and interview about the project topic.

Aims

The goal is to set general principles of the diploma project elaboration and their application to specific diploma project task.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Exercises are compulsory, and the attendance (80 % at the minimum) is checked and recorded. The absence (in justifiable cases) can be compensated by personal consultation with the lecturer.
