On Friday, 13 September, the matriculation of first-year Bachelor's students took place in the Faculty auditorium. In a solemn act, the students were formally admitted as members of the academic community.

The assembly included speeches by the faculty management – Vice-Deans and a representative of the FME Academic Senate. The system of studies at FSI was presented by the Vice-Dean for master's study.

The main part of the ceremony was the taking of the student oath: "I promise to conscientiously fulfill all the obligations arising from my studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology. I will work and study in order to best prepare myself for my future profession. I promise to conduct myself on and off campus in such a way as not to damage the reputation of the Faculty and the entire School."
