More than a thousand employers from across the Czech Republic once again participated this year in evaluating domestic secondary schools and universities. The results of the "School Recommended by Employers" survey were announced by the Employers' Club on November 18th. FME received the same title for the eighth time, securing the silver position among faculties this year.
The "School Recommended by Employers" survey is organized by the Employers' Club of the Czech Republic. Leading employers evaluate university faculties based on the contribution of their graduates to the job market. Companies from all over the Czech Republic participated in this year's evaluation, including most of the major employers nationally and regionally. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at BUT in Brno earned a symbolic silver and also contributed to the bronze position of the Brno University of Technology among Czech universities.
Mechanical engineering and technical fields, in general, continue to dominate the ranking of university faculties, as their graduates are among the most sought-after in the job market. The award for the faculty and BUT as a whole was accepted by FME Vice-Dean Jana Hoderová.
