On Tuesday, 10 December, President Petr Pavel appointed 78 new professors on the proposal of the scientific and artistic councils of universities. The ceremony of handing over the appointment decrees took place in the Grand Hall of the Karolinum in the presence of the Minister of Education Mikuláš Bek. Among the appointees there are also two new professors from the FME.

"I congratulate all the newly appointed professors and wish them every success in fulfilling your academic and civic mission," said Minister Mikulas Bek.

Our colleagues and new professors Zdeněk Jegla and Miroslav Kolíbal also received their appointment decree from the hands of the President of the Republic Petr Pavel. Zdeněk Jegla from the Institute of Process Engineering was awarded a professorship in Structural and Process Engineering, Miroslav Kolíbal from the Institute of Physical Engineering and CEITEC BUT is a professor in Applied Physics.
