The Lifelong Learning Institute of the Brno University of Technology offers the opportunity to study a two-semester intensive course of Czech language for foreigners.
Course is especially suitable for students from abroad who want to further continue their studies at one of the universities in the Czech Republic. Course is offered at two levels: for beginners and for intermediate students.
Intensive Czech language course for foreigners – beginners
After completing the course, students will be able to actively communicate in common
and will be able to communicate in everyday situations and will be able to cope with further studies at university.
Dates
1 October 2024 – 30 June 2025 560 hours, 16 hours per week (4 hours per day)
Price
2-semester course 560 hours (2 semesters), 55 000,- CZK (price does not include accommodation)
Final exam
- Final exams will be held in June 2025 and July 2025
- After successful completion of the final exam, the student will receive a certificate of completion of studies and of passing the exam according to the level A1, A2, B1, B2, C1
- In case of failure in the final exam, the possibility to take a remedial exam
- It is not a state final exam

Intensive Czech language course for foreigners – intermediate
Course is designed for those who have already achieved A1 and A2 level and who want to improve their knowledge of Czech. The aim of the course is to reach the B1-B2 level.
according to SERR.
Final exam
The final exams will take place in May 2025 and the successful candidate will receive a certificate with level B1 – B2.

A condition for the admission of foreigners to study at FME in the Czech language is the demonstration of a sufficient level of the Czech language, i.e. knowledge of level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). The certificate of successful completion of the final examination of level B2 in the above-mentioned courses meets this requirement.
