On Saturday 11 May, the Brno Exhibition Centre was the venue for the culmination of the Majáles 2024 student festival and FME was not to be left out. Majáles is not just a parade and an open-air festival, but it consists of a number of accompanying events involving our students.
They take part in the preparation of the programme, search for the King and Queen of Malájes, build a maypole in the centre of Brno, take part in the parade with allegorical floats and prepare the heart of the open-air event itself, the so-called student city. This is made up of zones for individual student teams and presentations by various student societies and offers a varied programme and a unique atmosphere every year. This year, the faculty student activities were presented to the festival visitors by four teams of FSI TU Brno Racing, StrojLAB, Chicken Wings and students of the Institute of Physical Engineering.
The king of the Brno Majáles was Jiří Jalůvka studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication. However, great recognition also belongs to Lena Bížová, a candidate for the queen, who studies at the Faculty of Chemistry, BUT.
